Our Mission
The mission at Bridgeton Baptist Church is totally about giving the Word of God to everyone, and leading them to a life in Jesus Christ so they can tell others about Christ. Through teaching the Word, hearing the Word, and living the Word, lives will be changed and one day be with Jesus Christ in heaven.
Our Beliefs
We use the Bible as our source of truth, and our guide for daily living. As a church family, we strive to adhere to the Word of God as closely as possible, since we believe it to be perfectly true.
Jack Hopkins
Pastor
Who We Are
Pastor Jack Hopkins provides spiritual leadership for our church family and oversees the various ministries of the church. Our deacons, trustees, and various other leaders help Pastor Jack carryout the service of the church. Teachers of Sunday School, youth programs, and Vacation Bible School are branches of the doctrinal preaching of the pastor.
Pastoral responsibilities entail decisions for the spiritual welfare of the people at Bridgeton Baptist; but also the physical and emotional with the assistance of the other leaders within the church.
Deacons
We currently have six deacons that provide spiritual guidance and leadership. These men are nominated and elected by the church body for four-year terms.
Trustees
Our four trustees are responsible for the financial and physical working condition of the church building and grounds. Also nominated and elected by the church body, these men serve three-year terms.Â
Missionary Committee
This group of men and women have a genuine, godly interest in our missions ministry. This body will determine the needs of each missionary we support and make decisions regarding the support of local charities/needs.
Missions
At Bridgeton Baptist Church, we understand the importance of supporting mission work both financially and through prayer. Our church has been blessed because of the dedication of the missionaries we support. We believe this so much that 57% of our budget is dedicated to supporting missions locally and all over the globe!
Local
We regularly support the Parke-Vermillion Crisis Pregnancy Center, the Rosedale Food Pantry, and the Rosedale & Rockville Elementary Clothing Fund.
Stateside
We support missionaries in California, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
Global
We provide monthly support to missionaries in Mexico, Paraguay, Venezuela, India, Sweden, and the Philippines. In addition, we support the Carpenter’s Project which helps plant churches worldwide.
