The Tripp Lite U444-2H-MST4K6 is a USB-C adapter that splits one USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port into two independent HDMI outputs, each capable of delivering a 4K signal at 60 Hz. It gives you instant access to a larger workspace or a sharper presentation setup, making it a practical tool for remote professionals, creative editors, data analysts, educators, and anyone who wants more screen real estate without adding a bulky dock.
Because the adapter works through DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode, it passes both audio and video directly from the host to the displays with no extra conversion steps. Each HDMI port supports high dynamic range, 4:4:4 chroma, and up to 7.1-channel digital audio, so movies look lifelike and design work appears true to color. Compliance with HDCP 2.2 keeps protected 4K streaming content playing smoothly from services such as Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video.
Multi-Stream Transport and Single-Stream Transport modes are both supported, which means you can mirror the laptop screen on two larger monitors for a training session or extend the desktop to create a wider canvas for multitasking. Either way, you get crisp, tear-free visuals thanks to the 60 Hz refresh rate.
Setup is straightforward: plug the fixed 4.7-inch cable into a compatible USB-C port and connect your HDMI cables. No drivers, external power, or configuration utilities are required, so you can move between offices, classrooms, or client sites with confidence. The adapter’s sturdy black housing occupies very little space in a laptop bag, yet it stands up well to daily travel.
